Wordpress 2.8 Ready for Release

Wordpress 2.8 is set to be released this June 10. Wordpress 2.8 Release Candidate 1 was already released the other day and has been available for downloading.

If there will be no serious bugs or errors, mark June 10 as the final version release date for Wordpress 2.8 Are we going to have the theme browser/installer feature with this release? Let’s see…

    Downloaded the latest version of Wordpress 2.8 over the weekend. Just overwhelmed by the new features and improvements. BTW, are the makers of Wordpress aware of how Baker died. I hope it’s not an omen. In 1988, he fell out of a window in some city in Holland but some rumors insist he was pushed. A tragic demise for a huge talent. He’s actually buried nearby where I live at the Inglewood cemetery. Just a bit of useless trivia.

    yeah, the WordPress escaping API functions is also been updated. its a way of using untrusted text that “neuters” anything that could do damage. Escaping is used in WordPress to avoid SQL injection and cross-site scripting/script injection (XSS), among other things.
