Those were the topics that came to our discussion in our night out event last August 2. It was really a great night. With friendly people plus good food and beer while discussing ways to make money online, what else to ask for!!!

I came first to Pier 1 MOA (our venue), then Almer Viloria, the Toribios – Dea and PJ of iCreateIdeas. After an hour, then came the rest of the guys, Neil Maranan (and 3 other bloggers, wasn’t able to remember their names), Rev. Jeffrey Aspacio of Marriage and Beyond, and our guest seo rockstar who still don’t want his name revealed due to some circumstances .

Though Rustom Hernandez (netPH) didn’t make it (he’s sick), we still had some nice discussions about domaining. I got some new ideas from Neil as he divulged some money making programs that is working good for him while I share some tips too with the rest of the guys who came.

I got only 2 pics because I almost forgot that I got a cam with me as I enjoyed the discussions.

We’ll be having another night out this coming weekend as a fellow pinoy seo based in Dubai is coming to town and a few other friends from the local seo community confirms attending. It might be during or after the Buhay Coke event at the Taste Asia but not really sure. More details will be given on the next few days about it….

I was talking to a friend earlier when we came to a discussion about how much money do most Filipinos earn online as it is noticeable that there’s a huge increase in the number of blogs and sites coming from the Philippines after blogging popularized few years back.

I know that there are guys who earns a lot while some don’t even earn a single cent so I thought of starting a survey here thru a poll on how much money did you earn in the past 30days. You can place your vote at the left, nothing to worry, votes are unanimous. See full results here: POLL

I’ll start the ball. I took a screenshot of the amount I received thru paypal and posted it at the end of this post.

As you can see, my total paypal net income is $3620.45, when converted to peso it amounts to Php159,951.45. Aside from that, I also have my income from adsense which amounts to $476.72 or Php21,061.34. The biggest money I get is from the seo services I provide wherein I get paid mostly thru bank transfers. The past 30days, I received $4000 for it or Php176,680. So total income for the past 30days will be $8097.17 or Php357,651.00! (not to mention smaller ones like earnings from adbrite, etc.)

There are other guys out there who earns a lot more than I do but mine is way bigger compared to the time I was working as a corporate slave in the business district before, being yelled by your fat boss for a slight harmless mistake. Now, working online, I am my own boss of my own time.

So how much do you earn online?

I remember it was at namepros. Oh I love this forum, you shouldn’t let the chance pass to register on this one, so newbie friendly. If you know namepros, they have a section wherein other members give incentives to other members who do tasks for them like forum posting, blog commenting, social bookmarkings, etc. During my first year in the business, I was one of the guys who always visit that section to grab every opportunity and earn a bit. You get paid via the namepros currency system and then you can sell it to other members for real cash. It was really an easy way to earn something when you have some time to spare, though not that big.

And from that, I started learning things and made my way on the digitalpoint forums and some freelancers website wherein I had the chance to establish a good reputation after several succesfull services. One of the most memorable one was when I rank a site in google fast, just 10 days for a competitive keyword. After that work, clients keep coming in asking me to do seo services for their site.

So what type of services can you provide? You really should know your capability. If you have the passion for writing, then try offering some copywriting services or if you possess some programming skills, show them what you can do. If you’ll just check sites like namepros, digitalpoint, sitepoint, getafreelancer, etc., you’ll find that there’s a lot of opportunities waiting out there. You can even offer yourself as a virtual assistant for someone. It’s just a matter of how you will present yourself to possible clients in order to get hired.

How to get hired for a certain service? I suggest that you set-up something like a portfolio. If you’re an expert of something, create a page that will serve as a reference of your past works. If you’re a newbie, don’t go for something that you can’t do, reputation is important so don’t ruin yours. Try putting a lower price, when you have an established reputation in the field, then you can increase your asking price.

• Virtual Assistant

I have provided a couple of those in the past before I focused on doing seo alone. You can start providing your own services now to add more income aside from making money online thru other means like adsense, selling ad spaces, making reviews, affiliate marketing, etc. Who knows, you might earn something bigger than the big boys someday!
