“When the user wakes up in the morning, you go to Facebook and you see [the] news feed,” product manager Peter Deng told CNET News. “You see the stuff that you missed, the best of the previous day, to basically catch you up on what your friends have been up to.”

“We’re just getting started as I’ve said. The company is two years old, we have so much to do, so much product stuff to fix, and so much growing to do,” Stone said.

This declaration just placed an exclamation point to the rumors that Google, Inc., Microsoft and Apple Inc. are all interested in acquiring the company. Twitter previously declined a $500 million offer by Facebook.

They are not selling it!

We are aware of this phishing domain and have already begun to take action. Specifically, we have passed the domain on to Markmonitor who pushes the domain to the browsers for blacklisting. They will also actively try to disable the site at the server/domain level for people who don’t have updated browsers.

Our user operations team has blocked the domain from being shared on Facebook and is removing the content retroactively from any messages. They will also be resetting passwords of senders to remove access from an attacker. We’re also reaching out to the ISPs to get information and will attempt to build a civil and/or criminal case against the owners.

Here’s a sample of the message that FBAction sends to facebook users:

If you enter your details in the link, it will spam all your friends with the same message and link.

If you’ll check the facebook statistics, you will see that it has more than 100 million active users, which makes them the most-trafficked social media site in the web and the 5th most trafficked website (Alexa). Can you imagine how much traffic you can get for your website thru it? I’ll share you what I’ve been doing earlier with my facebook account.

First of all, I went to my privacy settings. In here, you can control how you will display details about you, either to your friends alone or to the entire world. I have exposed most of my infos to my whole network, except my phone number, IM info and email address as I still want to leave some privacy in my life.

Then, I started making connections. I searched for persons I know personally then added them as my friend, search their friends, then added them too and so on and so fort. I searched for groups where my interest belongs then joined them. I preferred joining groups with more number of members.

Facebook applications are cool so I went on adding them to my account. Here’s a list of what I suggest:

• Twitter App – it will auto-syndicate any post you make on twitter to your facebook profile page.
• Simply RSS App – provides an easy way to add feeds to your profile so you can easily share your blog or favorite feeds to your friends.
• Stumbleupon App – this will show sites you have marked as favorites in your stumbleupon profile, which will also be visible in your profile page.
• Friendfeed App – this will connect all your activity from facebook, twitter, flickr, linkedin and more.

If you’ll notice, all the applications I have installed is a great way to automatically syndicate all my activity from various social media sites that will help me reach more people for my site or products.

Oh, I’ve also added some just for fun apps, it’s a good way to interact with your friends. Sending them something like a poke or a hug lets them feel that you’re there to socialize and not just to syndicate your things into facebook!
