No Follow Free And KeywordLuv Installed

20 October 2008

Thinking of a simple way to reward my commentators, I installed earlier two wordpress plugins that will serve as my simple way of saying thank you!

NoFollow Free – This will strip the “no follow” attribute in the authors link within the comments in this blog, but it will only happen when the comment author reaches a minimum of 2 comments.

KeywordLuv – The best thing for a do follow author link will be an anchor text for the keyword he wants to dominate so with this keyword, you can use your keywords in your author name without being flagged as a spammer. You just have to type YourName@YourKeywords in the comment name field to use it.

Hopefully, I can help comment authors of this blog gain links and better rankings if they do have a blog or a website.

    Hi there

you have made the right move going nofollow free and keywordluv will certainly increase valuable comments.

However your site is way too slow to load and kept timing out on me so you need to address this.

Woohooo – KeywordLuv is awesome! I’m glad to see that you’ve installed it!

I know that you’re loving it guys, more than me…lol! Thanks :-)

Keywordluv is a great plugin to bring a whole heap of new comments, good luck with that.

  • Simon@Rugby Coaching said:

I see you still have no-follow enabled though so you it’s a waste of time.

  • Jack Clarke@Technology Blog said:

Nice plugin, have it enabled on all my Blogs now.

  • Matt@Acai Berry said:

Very cool plugin that is sure to pull more comments to your blog. Good Luck.

I luv this plug in and thanks for the follow! I appreciate it.

  • scs@murphy bed said:

I’m building another blog and was thinking of doing exactly what you did: nofollow + keywordluv. Besides the increased threat of spam is there any downside to do that? Does it hurt your own page rank, for example??

    Thanks.

Doesnt adding keywordluv to your blog encourage people who have nothing useful to say, but are only interested in backlinks?

  • ken@Uk web hosting said:

Both keywordluv and comment luv are very popular now. The fact you get more traffic from all the people commenting makes it worth it. Not only do people read post they also make google think site is very active.

  • Tom@Best Portable GPS said:

These look like two great plug-ins and seem to be genuine ways to get effective backlinks. Thanks for the notice.

  • Roxanne@niche socializer review said:

These plugins are a good idea. People get comments on their blog + people get backlinks = everyone is happy :)

  • Rick @ Small Business VoIP said:

As you indicated, there are simple ways of rewarding commentators. But it is truly a reciprocal relationship. I always let other bloggers know they should do the courtesy of reading the content in order to make a respectable response. It needn’t be penetrating but sometimes i feel it’s about furthering the discussion. I guess in my deeply cynical age, a simple thank you for the article can be viewed with some suspicion. Such is the world of the blogsphere.

I’m thinking about adding CommentLuv to my site but have heard it can be a strain on your database. KeywordLuv seems to be a “lighter” application so I may try that one first.

  • Simon@blue ray dvds said:

How are you finding the quality of comments with keywordluv, I find that a lot of the comments tend to be ..”Thanks for the post”…or “good work”…just trying to get a backlink in most cases. It can be a real pain having to moderate them.

  • Rod@British Lions rugby said:

I agree with Simon that moderating comments on a dofollow or keywordluv blog can become a pain, due to masses of generic and/or auto-generated comments. It’s no wonder many bloggers eventually remove these plugins. I haven’t reached that point (yet), but there are days where I’m tempted!

  • Web Hosting Reviews said:

The added traffic is a bonus. And a lot of it comes from search engines.

  • Kai Lo@Make Money Online said:

These plugins really help increase the activities in your blog. Good job!

  • Thales@Hummingbird Review said:

Keep up the good work man, these plugins sure helps you get more traffic, I have used the same on my blog and it was really helpful!

  • Andy@Engagement Rings said:

  • Scott@Official Game Guide said:

KeywordLuv is amazing! I’ve got to use it on my websites, actually one of them already have it active together with commentluv!

  • Abbey@reusable shopping bag said:

I would agree that CommetLuv and KeywordLuv attract more users to your blog but some bloggers make the keywords nofollow. It is not really honest as people comment and make the blog grow as the content is just unique.

  • Jan@internet marketing said:

I like this plugin and through this I can easily monitor the comments.

  • alberta@JTag Helpdesck said:

this is what I’m looking… Keywordluv and a new plugin Nofollow Free.

    Very nice of you.

Thanks again. You’re doing very good on you site. :)

  • Simon@Rugby Training said:

It should get you a fair few more comments…just watch for the spam though. I found a lot of comment spammers searched for the plugin…still good for generating etc user content though!

  • Jean@ZineGuru Website Marketing said:

KeywordLuv is great. A nice way to separate person’s name from website’s name.
