My Facebook Profile
August 30, 2008 by admin
The past few days, I’ve been addicted to facebook, adding friends, joining groups, adding apps. If you haven’t been into, then you should start your addiction in it particularly if you’re into online marketing. Why? Okay, let me tell you a short info about facebook and how you can gain from it as an online marketer.
If you’ll check the facebook statistics, you will see that it has more than 100 million active users, which makes them the most-trafficked social media site in the web and the 5th most trafficked website (Alexa). Can you imagine how much traffic you can get for your website thru it? I’ll share you what I’ve been doing earlier with my facebook account.
First of all, I went to my privacy settings. In here, you can control how you will display details about you, either to your friends alone or to the entire world. I have exposed most of my infos to my whole network, except my phone number, IM info and email address as I still want to leave some privacy in my life.
Then, I started making connections. I searched for persons I know personally then added them as my friend, search their friends, then added them too and so on and so fort. I searched for groups where my interest belongs then joined them. I preferred joining groups with more number of members.
Facebook applications are cool so I went on adding them to my account. Here’s a list of what I suggest:
- Twitter App - it will auto-syndicate any post you make on twitter to your facebook profile page.
- Simply RSS App - provides an easy way to add feeds to your profile so you can easily share your blog or favorite feeds to your friends.
- Stumbleupon App - this will show sites you have marked as favorites in your stumbleupon profile, which will also be visible in your profile page.
- Friendfeed App - this will connect all your activity from facebook, twitter, flickr, linkedin and more.
If you’ll notice, all the applications I have installed is a great way to automatically syndicate all my activity from various social media sites that will help me reach more people for my site or products.
Oh, I’ve also added some just for fun apps, it’s a good way to interact with your friends. Sending them something like a poke or a hug lets them feel that you’re there to socialize and not just to syndicate your things into facebook!

hmm, di ko alam yan ah.dami palang facebook users.so dapat pala magstart na ko icheck ang facebook ko na matagal ko na rin di nachecheck.

This maybe the first for our batch.

Hello there, Joey ..!!!!
Greetings from our “land down under”
Whoooooaaaaahhhh!!!! This is a good start Bro.
I’m also in Sydney now…goin 3 years already.
A core group of our batch ‘78 were able to meet last December 14 in Manila. They are 25 people in that day!!!
Now they are beginning to lay down the plans in setting up a second meeting on the first quarter of next year.
Because I’m away from them I volunteer to use all the internet search engines to find our batchmates.
As they reported to me, now 63 of our batchmates were contacted already and with that, have started to make a database of JASHS Class ‘78.
Please consider to send me emails direct to my add: garjanalulod@yahoo.com
Maybe you may remember Annabelle Lasigues, now Mrs.Annbelle L. Pancho, also of section 3 that time.
She is now in California with her family for so long.
Her husband is also an Abadian.
When you will be coming back to Sydney..?
Wish that we can have sometime to meet.
Praying that your days are well….
Edgar (JASHS ‘78)
