Jollibee Online Delivery versus McDelivery: Which site is better?

by Zaldy Dalisay on January 7, 2011

My 6 year old kid Nico informed me earlier that Jollibee (the most popular and biggest chain of fastfood here in the Philippines now offers online ordering thru their newest website – jollibeedelivery.com, a feature that McDonalds thru mcdelivery.com.ph has been offering for quite a time.

Out of curiosity (as for sure my kids will be asking me to use the site on days to come), I checked both sites and started comparing them.

Jollibee vs McDonalds

I find Jollibee Online Delivery to be more seo-friendly while McDelivery as more user-friendly. Here’s what I’ve noticed:

SEO Analysis:

jollibeedelivery.com

  • with meta description,
  • meta robots saying index, follow
  • with meta keywords
  • google analytics installed
  • sitemap
  • social media sharing feature (facebook, twitter)

mcdelivery.com.ph

  • no meta description and
  • no meta keywords,
  • meta robots saying index, follow
  • google analytics installed
  • no sitemap
  • no social media sharing option

One thing I’ve noticed much within Jollibee’s meta keywords are the words jabee and jabi, these are words that comes from a baby’s mouth whenever they try to say Jollibee, are they targeting visitors of all ages? LOL…

Usability

jollibee.com.ph

  • point and click
  • in between pages loading time is a bit slow

mcdelivery.com.ph

  • drag and drop
  • loading is fast, no need to go to multiple pages

As I am more of an internet marketer with seo mindset, my vote goes to Jollibee. How about you?

I am confused which to pick. User-friendly and SEO-friendly should be combined together. Anyway, grea review. very useful.

LOL at jabee & jabi keywords. Kasi siguro these words are used by most people diba kahit matanda. Saka siguro they noticed na rin na may mga keywords coming from search engines to their site so why not use them na rin? hrhrhr.

Talk laters.

Well, more Filipinos choose jollibee since Jollibee’s foods are purely of that of filipinos’ taste! For example, Jollibee spaghetti is much of a sweet taste while McDo has this sour and odd taste like American’s taste. See? Filipinos’ will just choose their own.
