Though Facebook doesn’t allow its users to export or download videos uploaded from their website, there’s an easy way to do it.
For Firefox users, download the Facebook Video add-on which you can find here – https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/9614 . This add-on will allow you to download, convert video, and customize code right at the video page in facebook. Once installed, new links will appear at the bottom of the video. See attached screenshot.
More Features:
- Video Pages
- Direct link to FLV file so you can download video to your computer
- Link to convert video to a format of your choice with Zamzar.com before download
- links appear under video info
- Embed code so you can embed any videos in sites outside of Facebook
- Public video link found at bottom of video page
- Walls and Inbox
- Download and convert links
- Embed Code
- links appear directly beneath videos on wall and in messages
- A wizard that lets you customize the embed code. You don’t have to edit both the height and width. This script honors the aspect ratio.
Remember that this only works for Firefox web browser.

There are quite a few ways to do what your post says. I have been downloading videos from facebook using a facebook video recorder software. But this firefox addon certainly makes the things very simple as it gets integrated into the browser itself. Now there is no need to download an additional software to get the facebook videos. Thanks a lot for the share.

Hey I used to do it earlier with orbit downloader but now it doesn’t gives the link as grab tool. So, I just hope this would help me out to download videos now. And I just hope it would be much easier to download videos with this comparative to youtube downloader or orbit.

You can download FACEBOOK video easily without using any software. You can get FACEBOOK video from cache folder on your PC. Just follow as bellow
For Internet explorer Browser: If you are using internet explorer browser, watch full video from facebook,
1. After watching full video, go at Tools> internet options> settings> view files
2 You will get a large size file with long name and unknown type there.
3 Copy and paste that file at desktop, this file is the video file in flv format
4 Rename it with flv extension, example 123.flv
5 play and enjoy video at your PC with flv player

If you are using FireFox browser, you can get video in FLV format as above in similar manner but at different location, your downloaded video location is -
D:(or C:)> Documents and Settings> ADMIN (your Admin login)> Local Settings >Application Data> Mozilla> Firefox > Profiles (one by one)
Update: For new Firefox version, if you are not able to find “Application Data” after Local Settings, just add “\Application Data” on the address bar at Local setting folder.

You can also save and download facebook video by using Greasemonkey. Just install it and run the script. Then you can download as many videos as you want.

As you know, Facebook is currently focused on video sharing between friends, and doesn’t supply an embed option: the Facebook Video Greasemonkey Script (requires Firefox (Firefox) and the Greasemonkey extension) adds an embed code next to those clips. It also allows you to download and convert the videos.

I go for Facebook downloader. Facebook downloader also enables you to convert the downloaded Facebook videos to other popular formats, such as MP4, 3GP, WMV, AVI, MOV, MPG, M4V, OGG, APE, VOB, MP3, WMA, etc. With this Streaming Video Recorder, you can download nearly 20 Facebook videos synchronously. You will get 1:1 quality of what you watch online. So you won’t have any problem to download Facebook video, try now.
