Facebook Restructures News Feeds

25 October 2009

Facebook users started experiencing a new feel while using the most popular social community in the world since last Friday as Facebook management restructures their news feeds wherein users can now toggle view between a main view, featuring the top stories from their friends list based on their Facebooking habits, and a “live feed” featuring real-time updates from the whole network.

“When the user wakes up in the morning, you go to Facebook and you see [the] news feed,” product manager Peter Deng told CNET News. “You see the stuff that you missed, the best of the previous day, to basically catch you up on what your friends have been up to.”

yes i saw this too, but this is not very attractive and at the same time boring too, those feeds are really headache to us because they are also showing updates of unknown people who are not our friends yet.

Facebook has been making a lot of changes over the past few months. I like this one, it makes getting caught up quick and easy.

I loved this feature, since with this feature you can neglect feeds of person who you want to, also facebook does this automatically, they clutch our most visited links and then according to it they show news feed of that profile.

I loved the application feature of Facebook, anyone can make their own personal application and publish them on anyone’s wall, its great – Now we can really enjoy the dynamical features of Facebook and not just Static only.

One thing about facebook is really appreciative, that it comes with Dynamic feature every time and not with static one, i don’t know whether those applications are third party or not, but each and every one of them just fit with Facebook.
