If you are going to write a simple article that others might have covered repeatedly will not get you somewhere but if you will spice it up, making it stand out among others can give you some links for it driving traffic to your site and hopefully, conversions.

A website that is content rich, like blogs, gets more pages in search engines and posting them with quality will make readers come back for more. It will play an important role in the context of a successful campaign.

Is Marketing The Real King?

A website won’t do any good to your business if you won’t market it right? People won’t know that your website exists if you will not let the world know that it’s there. Posting content to your website seems not enough if you will not work on social networking, submitting press releases about a new product that you released, or making it visible on web directories. Last night, my 6 year old adsense account was disabled and the reason presented to me was click fraud. I know that it’s hard to appeal for a re inclusion but as I really wanted to have my account back, I immediately filed a request. Unfortunately, this is the reply that I got from their team:

1. Log intoyour name cheap account.
2. Click on Manage Domains.
3. Click on the domain you want to park with AdSense for Domains.
4. On the left under Host Management click on All Host Records.

This will take you to the page where you need to make the necessary changes. When you first set up your account, namecheap sets up two entries for you. A www CNAME and a redirect for @. @ means no host name (example.com instead of server1.example.com)

The way namecheap is set up, there is no link/button to delete existing records. You can just clear out the data but it’s easy enough to just reuse the existing fields.

For the www record, replace the IP ADDRESS/URL field with pub-xxxxxxxxx.afd.ghs.google.com.and make sure the RECORD TYPE is set  to CNAME (Alias)

For the @ record, change the type to A (Address) and paste in the  ip address – 216.239.32.21

Further down the page you’ll have a set of blank fields where you enter the other three A records for the other three ip address with the subdomain settings set to @

I hope this quick guide on how to set-up adsense for domains in namecheap will help aspiring people who want to make money thru it.

Create a CNAME Record

1. Log in to your account at www.godaddy.com.
2. Open the Domains tab and select My Domain Names. You will then be directed to the Manage Domains page.
3. Select the domain name that you’d like to use with AdSense for domains.
4. Click the Total DNS Control And MX Records in the box entitled Total DNS Control.
   Note: Adding entries to the Manage Subdomains section will not create a CNAME record.
5. Select Add New CNAME Record. If you have recently created a CNAME record for the address, click Edit next to the existing CNAME record.
6. Step 1: In the ‘Host Name’ field, enter ‘www’
   Step 2: In the ‘Points to Host Name’ field, enter pub-xxxxxxxxx.afd.ghs.google.com (where pub-xxxxxxxxx is your unique ID listed on the AdSense setup page)
   Step 3: Leave the default value in the ‘TTL’ field.
7. Click OK, and then click OK again. If you’re editing an existing CNAME record, click OK.

Now that the CNAME Record is pointing to Google, it’s time to set-up an A Record. Follow the tutorial below:

Create an A Record

1. Log in to your account at www.godaddy.com.
2. Open the Domains tab and choose My Domain Names. You’ll be directed to the Manage Domains page.
3. Select the domain name that you’d like to use with AdSense for domains.
4. Click the Total DNS Control And MX Records in the box entitled Total DNS Control.
5. Select Add New A Record. If an A record already exists for the address, click Edit next to the existing A record.
6. Step 1: In the ‘Host Name’ field, enter the @ character.
   Step 2: In the ‘Points To Ip Address’ field, enter the IP address 216.239.32.21
   Step 3: Leave the default value in the ‘TTL’ field.
7. Click OK, and then click OK again. If you’re editing an existing A record, click OK.
8. Follow steps 5 through 6, adding three more records using the IP addresses 216.239.34.21, 216.239.36.21, and 216.239.38.21

That’s all folks. You’re domain is now ready to make money with Adsense for Domains.

While checking my adsense account earlier, I have noticed the adsense for domains set-up option inside. This is a great addition for all Filipinos who wants to make money online.

What is Adsense for Domains

Adsense for domains is Google’s counterpart for traditional domain parking. It allows publishers monetize their unused domains to help users reach relevant information by presenting content on the domains.

I have two accounts in paypal, one personal and one premier. Yesterday, I was forced to upgrade my personal paypal account after someone paid me with a credit card funded paypal. I had a mistake adding my personal paypal account as the receiver for payments coming from my health directory instead of my premier account.

To avoid the problem of being penalized for having two premier paypal accounts, I immediately find my way to downgrade back to personal paypal account. Here’s what I did:

1. Log in to your paypal account
2. Click the “Contact Us” link at the bottom of the page
3. Under “Email Us” click “Send us a question by email”
4. Under “Choose A Topic” select “My Account”
5. Under “Choose A Subtopic” select “Changing/Updating Account Information”
6. In the area which says, “Summarize your question in one sentence.” put “I would like to downgrade my paypal account back to personal, thank you!”
   
7. Fill in additional information in the next window, say reasons like, “I just wanted to try the premier account but I think personal is better for me so I’d like to downgrade my account.”
8. Wait for around 48-72 hours and you’ll get your personal account status back again.
