It was my first time to join a 5km run as I am not really into this type of sport, it’s just that I am one big Gibo fanatic and I am giving my full support for him in the coming election.

And why am I supporting Gibo? Because I believe that he is the most suitable man for the highest position in the country and if everyone will just see and hear what Gibo wants for our country and how he will do it, I am pretty sure that more people will go for this guy.

The event in full was fun. Around 3,000+ supporters came, different ages and groups, from the young ones to the oldies, I had a nice feeling to be with people wearing green, sharing the same advocacy that Gibo carries. I’ve got a Gibo shirt, 7 baller id’s (take note, it’s SEVEN….greenies mainggit kau! LOL), and 5 stickers (ah sorry 4 as the other one is already in my car).

Looking forward sa next GREEN event!!

According to pinayshare.com’s article “Eraserheads Reunion Concert Part 2 Free Tickets,” the event will be sponsored by MTV Pilipinas and Smart Communications, Inc. while the venue is still undetermined in either The Fort or SM Mall of Asia Grounds. A press conference  of the band will be held on January 19, 2009.

The ground troop movement is a follow-up to the seven-day air strikes made by Israel that caused hundreds of casualties, including women and children. As of earlier, data says there’s been 430 Palestinians killed with thousands more injured in hospitals.

I am not a muslim, not even near to the crisis area but with what I’m seeing at reports from tv, I feel really sad on what’s happening. Both sides should think of the children, they are innocent. The Hamas should stop launching rockets and Israel should stop their assault into Gaza.

Let’s have peace.

It was around 6pm when I arrived at the Pier One Bar in San Miguel by the Bay, SM Mall of Asia. As usual, I came first. I sat near the bar, ordered beer, chicken sisig and had some chat with the bartender while waiting for them. A few minutes later, Carol Sinel aka  icezorg came in followed by Almer Viloria then my long time blog pal Ricky Refuerzo. We then ordered food and had 2 buckets of beer to start the night.

Around 7pm or so, I saw a familiar face outside,  it’s the country’s top domainer and online money maker – Rustom Hernandez aka netPH with his wife. Then came Eric Marantan, GurlAlien, Rosette aka Maldita, Arnold Alvarez, Gary Viray, Neil Maranan and his sister, kid money maker Kenneth Mendoza, Rev. Jeffrey Aspacio and his wife.

The discussions were truly healthy, guys were talking alot about their online ventures. Neil Maranan’s sister (I wasn’t able to get the name), made an interview of us one by one, for a school project I think.

The best part of the night was the discussion about the current status of the seo community in the Philippines. I felt really comfortable discussing things with these guys as I can really see how much they support the group’s aim of spreading seo awareness in the country. I have known these guys for such a time already as we have something in common – we are search engine optimizers and we love it.

The serious discussion started after one of the guys divulged (no, that’s not me) that someone approached Marc Macalua inquiring to buy seo.ph and Marc priced it at around Php5,000,000.00 (something near $100,000.00). I know it’s a great name, and Marc has the right to sell it because he owns it, though we’re not sure if he’s really selling it. The source is reliable but I’m open to what Marc will say.  The issue raised by the guys last night was – where will the local seo guys go if it will be sold? And being the so-called founder of the group, why will Marc sell it? Doesn’t he care about the group anymore? Is that the reason why he don’t visit the forum nowadays? Many questions and suggestions came in. Even the SEMCON 2008 issue was opened.

I love this group. My life was changed by the knowledge I gained from it and the friends I’ve met thru it. Marc is my friend, and I know he’s a good guy but the rest of the seoph peeps are now calling for an action. They are looking for a new non-profitable publicly owned forum community. Decisions have been made, let’s see what will be the turn out.

Going back to the party, It was a really rocking night. I went home past 3am.

This was the latest news I got from CNN few seconds ago and am currently watching John McCain acknowledging the defeat and giving congratulations to Obama.

Obama was said to address from a rally in Chicago, Illinois, later tonight.

Obama is now the first African-American to win the presidency.

Let’s watch out for the change he is saying for America.

I came early, around 7am at the agreed meeting place of the seophilippine members – McDonalds beside La Salle University. Kiddie30 the first one to arrive, then Mito, kapengbarako, spyrochan, and Ghostnote. After taking breakfast, we proceed to the venue. Security was great, we have to log our laptops in and out.

The event started around 9am at the Hall wherein I saw an old friend Ricky Refuerzo. Me and the guys picked the following topics to attend and saw jayl (another seoph member) as we go to the room:

After the classroom sessions, lunch time with a good food courtesy of Chowking. That’s when I met other seoph members like ericm, dudley and Andrew Wong. After eating, we went back to the Hall to listen to:

• The Future of WordPress by Matt Mullenweg (will vote for Obama)
• Demistifying Google Analytics by Aileen Apolo (as beautiful as she is)
• WordPress & Web Standards by Regnard Raquedan (thanks for the shirt man)
• Making Money With Performancing Ads by J.Angelo Racoma (haven’t received my affiliate earnings yet)

The coolest part for me was the time I got some prizes..

• a .ph domain of my choice courtesy of dotph
• 2 premiere night tickets for Righteous Kill
• an adobe shirt from Regnard

The question and answer with Matt rocked the house as well as the photo session.

After the event, we didn’t go to the wordcamp party, the seoph boys went to Pier One and Hooters in San Miguel by the Bay, SM Mall of Asia. See pics below:

With the fans waiting, Raymund Marasigan assured that the reunion concert will push thru at the announced date, which is August 30 of the current year only this time, the ticket isn’t free. According to an article published by the Philippine Entertainment Portal, ticket price will be sold at around Php1500.00 for the general admission.

A Filipino seo based in Dubai came to the country last week and gave me a call the other day setting up a meet and some chit-chats with several other local seo. Place was in Pier 1 at the SM Mall of Asia. Guys who came were Mito Pontillas, Almer Viloria, Noel Bautista (thanks for the dvd), Neil Maranan (as usual shared some money making tips), Spyrochan, Gurlalien, Rosette, fire_lady, netph (who shared lots of valuable tips about domaining) and of course, Edward.. the guy who paid everything! lol

It was a cool night, though rain poured at the exact time we have agreed, they still came. Rustom (netph) came with his family. We started the night with a beer, then Edward took a black label which turned my head upside down (haven’t been drinking hard liquor for few years now til last night). We went home at around 2am.
