Biggest Google Adsense Story

20 July 2008

Google Adsense? WTF is that?

Those were the exact words I’ve said to myself when I first heard about it, when I started blogging way back 2005! All I know by that time is to create some non-sense posts that will give my readers a smile on their face. All was just for fun then one day….

I was searching for the “pekeng pangulo” google bomb campaign in Google after reading it in a tabloid then came to Macalua’s page. I saw the little Yahoo Group button in his sidebar and out of curiousity, joined the seophilippines group. I am talking of Marc Macalua here, the founder of the group, and not Macuha, though I know them both, met several times.

The seophilippines group opened my eyes to tons of opportunities. There’s a lot of gurus in that community. From there I learned what adsense can do to change your life. Got tips on adsense placement, high-paying adsense keywords, how to work on getting traffic, doing seo and a lot more. I had a hard time in my first few months, sometimes earning nothing in day,  but as I am inspired by the wealthy discussions I read about adsense, I didn’t stop exploring things. After the trial and error period, I am now proud to say that I am earning something good out of Google adsense, enough to make me work at home and quit being a corporate slave.

Today, I have my own network of sites – seo blog, article directory, social bookmarker, sms jokes, proxy site, etc. wherein most are monetized thru adsense.

Okay, this may not be the biggest google adsense story, but will be part of Macuha’s attempt to be it.

Btw, if you haven’t seen yet, here’s one of the most famous google adsense pic courtesy of shoemoney to inspire you:

I can relate to this, “All I know by that time is to create some non-sense posts that will give my readers a smile on their face. All was just for fun …”

I think about SEO, too. Tried to read up on it when I have the time. The thing is it’s hard to write on a consistent basis that when I’m able to hit the publish button masaya na ako. Posting knocks the wind out of me sometimes it’s quite a relief I am still able to post.

It will hit me afterward. Oh, how about this SEO thing – I totally forgot about it. Clearly, it’s not integrated into my blog routine yet. Hehehe. Yeah, I subscribed so I’d finally learn something crucial to my blog’s “success.” :)

You can make money from adsense you just have to work at it like any other site. You must learn Seo and should own your own domian name and site so all your hard work is yours. People should know to reguster domian name for more than 2 years some search engines look at age and how long they are registered for.
